Be That Man

Ira CD Review_2023 This music is powerfully authentic. I’m glad to share my thoughts.

1.“You Should Know By Now” - A blues song without a 5 chord? Amazing! 2.“Be That Man” … is a truth you haven’t heard before. Thanks Jimi. 3.“Gone But Not Forgotten” - BB King tribute song. Words right out of a sermon! 4.“Can’t Forget” - Memphis soul comes alive,

4.“Can’t Forget” - Memphis soul comes alive, again! I’m sentimental. 5.”Creole Stew”- Bayou love song alright. That’s one kickin’ groove. 6 “Western Hero” - This song is a jam. Think Jimmy Reed & John Lee Hooker. 7 “If You Were Mine” - Blues lyrics done Chicago style. 8 “Be Alone” Written for Roy Hawkins. He wrote The Thrill Is Gone. 9 “Imaginary Woman” Guitar work on this song is unique with the slide & fingers. 10 “Baby Done Left Me” Texas shuffle with these cool unexpected changes.

This CD is fresh, organic, and surprisingly original. The blues community needs this infusion of expression! Every great blues artist started this way. And in the words of the legendary manger of Journey, Steve Miller, Roxette, and Mr. Big, Herbie Herbert “Ira has the vocal delivery of a seasoned pro” Thanks in advance for listening!
